Reception Duties: Greeting bird owners, scheduling appointments, and handling phone calls.

Pre-Exam Preparation: Setting up the examination room and ensuring that all necessary tools and equipment are clean and readily available.

Assisting with Physical Examinations: Restraining birds gently and safely for the veterinarian during examinations.

Administering Medications: Under the direction of the veterinarian, administering treatments such as oral medications, injections, or topical applications.

Sample Collection: Assisting in collecting blood, feces, or other samples for diagnostic testing.

Laboratory Work: Conducting basic in-house lab tests or preparing samples to be sent to an external laboratory.

Feeding and Caring for Hospitalized Birds: Providing food, water, and clean housing for birds staying in the clinic.

Cleaning and Sanitation: Maintaining a clean environment by disinfecting cages, tools, and the exam room.

Radiography Assistance: Helping position birds for x-rays and ensuring the safety protocols for radiographic procedures.

Surgical Assistance: Setting up the surgical area, sterilizing instruments, and assisting the veterinarian during surgery.

Client Education: Providing instructions and advice to bird owners on proper care, nutrition, and signs of illness.

Inventory Management: Keeping track of clinic supplies and ordering new stock as required.

Emergency Care: Assisting with critical care in emergency situations under the vet's guidance.

Post-Operative Care: Monitoring recovering birds, changing bandages, and providing medication as directed by the veterinarian.

End of Life Support: Providing compassionate care and assistance for birds and their owners during euthanasia procedures.
